Conscious Gardening Course
The Food Project
By Mark Carroll
This Spring, immerse yourself in a peaceful 1-acre food garden on Brighton's urban fringe, where each week we'll come together to cultivate the land and explore our relationships with Nature, with our 21st-century urban lifestyles and diets, with ourselves and our communities.
Over the 6 weeks you'll gain practical skills and experience in a range of food-growing activities such as composting, soil fertility & bed preparation, seed sowing, propagation, weeding & tending, harvesting and plant identification.
Away from the hustle and bustle discover how working with hands, soil and plants in an ecologically-rich landscape can produce powerful effects on mind, body & spirit, helping you become 'fully present' in the moment.
Each session begins with a simple standing meditation, and ends with a seasonal shared lunch, and some time to reflect upon the day's activities.
