MAYORS PRESENTATION TO VOLUNTEERS

On Thursday 12th. April 2007 his Worship the Right Honorable David Smith the Mayor of Brighton & Hove City Council honoured the volunteers who had been instrumental in building the allotment plots for Gardeners with Disabilities at the Coldean, Weald and Foredown Sites. The Mayor entertained the reciprients and their families in the Mayors parlour with a finger buffet and wine, after which the Mayor heaped praise on the deserving volunteers who were then presented with a framed illuminated address and presentation glass ware.

Those present were Gerry Nevill(Coldean and Foredown sites) , Mike Fearn (Weald site) , John Smyth (Coldean and Foredown sites),Peter Richards(Weald) , Karl Heyman (Council) , David Smith (Mayor) , John Burns (BHAF) , Rob Dumbrell and Family ( Council)

Unfortunately Margaret Emery of the Weald Site who was the chief Fund Raiser was unwell and was unable to attend the presentation ceremony, Margaret was presented with her awards by her colleagues from the Weald site at her home.She was delighted to have been so honoured.
