Hi - I've been working this plot organically for many years and am not well enough to carry on by myself. I don't want to let it go back to the council as it would be a terrible shame after all these years to have it taken over by a non-organic gardener and be saturated with pesticides and herbicides.

My plan is to take on a co-worker, and then after a year or two, to drop out and leave the plot to her/him.

I would be happy in the mean time to continue paying the site rent, buy seeds and compost etc.

The site is very overgrown at the moment as I had a heart attack in late January followed by a triple bypass and valve repair on 2nd February, and was unable to do any work at all in the spring and for most of the summer and autumn. I also have arthritis and find that if I do a few hours’ work I then have to spend the next week recovering.

This offer is not just open to one person. If there are two of you, or indeed a whole family, all the better.

I have just received the bill for next year’s rent so will need to know fairly soon whether anyone is interested. If you are interested, please ring me on 07913200290.

Cheers,

Mouse Dismore.
