Roedale Allotments and Gardens Society (RAGS)

This organisation is run by allotment holders at the Lower Roedale and Roedale Valley allotment sites.

It is also open to non-allotment holders or tenants at other sites who can join and enjoy the benefits of the two shops at the sites and much more.

RAGS undertakes projects which encourage volunteering and a community spirit in order to improve our sites and benefit plotholders.  The RAGS committee meets monthly (second Monday of the Month at 7.30pm) to discuss site related issues and projects such as the stores, planting a hawthorn hedge to deter vandals, site security, tree cutting, improvements to the site, our learner plots, our mentoring scheme, the Community Plot of Roedale Valley, and much more.

The agenda is posted on site up to a week before and you can request minutes of the meetings by emailing lowerroedalerep@googlemail.com

Any member can come along to our meetings but only members who are tenants or co-tenants on our site can vote on issues.
